Create a nurturing space where preschoolers feel valued, inspired, and engaged.
Connecting with Nature and Embracing Indigenous Ways of Knowing
Provide opportunities for children to learn about and connect with nature, inspire sustainable living, and integrate Indigenous knowledge.
Addressing Climate Change and Promoting Environmental Health
De-pave to reduce urban heat, improve water and soil quality, and strengthen biodiversity, creating a naturalized space that benefits all living things.
Working with the Community
Together, let’s enrich the lives of our preschoolers and set a strong foundation for a sustainable and inclusive future. Your support and participation will make a lasting impact on our community and the planet.
The Big Picture
1. Depave and Naturalize
Limiting concrete and sand in order to create a wide variety of terrain that supports overall health and wellbeing.
May or June.
2. Set The Stage
Incorporating new storage and organization solutions to support the environment as 3rd teacher concept. Creating space for visual arts and natural loose parts to support pedagogy.
3. Visual Enhancements
Procuring new outdoor toys and materials that support a wide variety of play. Displaying murals that support the centres commitment to learning about and supporting the Indigenous community.
